ESU STATUS AND DESCRIPTION: Originally part of a larger Lower Columbia River/Southwest Washington ESU for which listing was determined not warranted (see July 25, 1995 FRN).  Lower Columbia coho were identified as a separate ESU and listed as threatened on June 28, 2005.  The Southwest Washington coho ESU includes all naturally spawned populations of coho salmon from coastal drainages in southwest Washington between the Columbia River and Point Grenville.

CRITICAL HABITAT STATUS: Not applicable.
