ESA LISTING STATUS:  Listed as threatened on Mar. 25, 1999; threatened status reaffirmed on Jan. 5, 2006NOAA Fisheries issued results of a five-year review on Aug. 15, 2011 (PDF 176KB), and concluded that this species should remain listed as threatened.

DESCRIPTION:  The DPS includes all naturally spawned anadromous O. mykiss (steelhead) populations below natural and manmade impassable barriers in the Willamette River, Oregon, and its tributaries upstream from Willamette Falls to the Calapooia River (inclusive).

CRITICAL HABITAT STATUS: A final designation was published on Sept. 2, 2005 (9.7 Mb PDF), with an effective date of Jan. 2, 2006.

PROTECTIVE REGULATIONS: Final revised protective regulations were issued for this DPS on June 28, 2005.
