The Northwest Region studies and makes decisions about several marine species because it has received petitions to list those populations under the Endangered Species Act. The links on the left provide information on these species and processes.
This region shares jurisdiction of marine turtles with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Sightings and strandings of ESA-listed turtles in the region are very rare, and there are no breeding beaches in Washington and Oregon. There's a link on the left to a list of those animals.
There's also a link to our Fisheries Headquarters Website that provides information on Species of Concern and Candidate Species under the ESA.
