Middle Columbia Sub-Domain ESA Steelhead Recovery Plan

After the Mid-Columbia Steelhead DPS Plan was posted to this Website, readers pointed out editorial oversights that NOAA Fisheries felt should be corrected, given the importance of the plan to ongoing recovery efforts and investigations. No substantive changes were made to the plan; however, the following corrections were made, and the corrected plan has been posted below with the new date of Nov. 30, 2009. Minor corrections to the Mid-C Steelhead DPS Plan are as follow:

1.  Several of the sources cited in the text were not in the bibliography, mainly in sections 6.3.5 and 7.1.5. All references were cross-checked and added to the list or corrected as appropriate.

2.  Table 2-4 was actually the second table in Chapter 2 and its number was therefore changed to Table 2-2 .

3.  Minor format issues, e.g. out-of-sequence page numbers or subsection numbers, were corrected.

Sept. 30, 2009: NOAA Fisheries Service adopted a final ESA recovery plan for middle Columbia River steelhead. This plan is the product of a collaborative process initiated by NOAA with assistance from the Middle Columbia Forum (Mid-C Forum), a bi-state, tri-tribe group convened to provide input on the development of this recovery plan. The plan includes locally developed management unit plans from the Yakima Fish and Wildlife Recovery Board, the Snake River Salmon Recovery Board and the state of Oregon that address tributary conditions.
