Willamette ESA Salmon Recovery Sub-Domain

Home page video, In Oregon's Willamette River Valley, an innovative farming model supports crop production & Chinook habitat

This salmon recovery sub-domain encompasses Willamette River sub-basins upstream of Willamette Falls. NOAA Fisheries has listed two anadromous salmon runs there under the Endangered Species Act: upper Willamette River Chinook and upper Willamette River steelhead. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has listed and manages two resident (freshwater only) fish species that occur in this area, Oregon chub and bull trout.

NOAA Fisheries adopted a final Willamette Salmon and Steelhead Recovery Plan on Aug. 22, 2011.
