Education & Outreach
Promoting NOAA's vision of an informed society that understands the role of the oceans, coasts, and atmosphere in the global ecosystem to make the best social and economic decisions is central to our work. We strive to reach out to our communities and share the work that we do. If teachers or educators want to link their current curriculum to local scenarios or related work in the Pacific Northwest we welcome any sort of collaboration. Increasing ocean literacy and inspiring students to consider careers in marine science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and other disciplines critical to resource management are two of our goals.
